Job summary

Empower, based in Bengaluru, invites a Senior Software Engineer to lead design and development of major software features, influence architecture, and drive technical excellence across products.

You will mentor junior engineers, collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine requirements, participate in code reviews, and continuously adopt modern technologies while delivering high-quality solutions.

Qualifications

• 6-8 years hands-on technology experience with ability to work independently
• 6-8 years experience with ProC, PL/SQL, Oracle SQL, UNIX (Solaris), and Java
• Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Shell programming (C-shell, Korn) and PERL

Responsibilities

Essential Functions

• Lead the design and development of significant software features or projects.

Experience

• 6-8 years of hands-on technology experience with ability work independently and has an understanding of how a system is designed technically
• A minimum of 6 - 8 years of hands-on experience on ProC,PL/SQL,Oracle SQL,UNIX (Solaris) and Java programming language.

• Shell Programming (C-shell, KORN Shell) and PERL

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems, or equivalent applicable work experience
• Enthusiasm to work and learn in a team environment.
• Ability to work on a task independently with minimal supervision.
• Experience in designing a system by working with other technical architects
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with JavaScript and either Angular or React JS frame work is a plus
• Experience with Oracle Forms is a plus.
