Job summary

Amazon Dev Center India – Hyderabad is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer to build next generation AP payments solutions and drive GenAI based agentic capabilities to reduce payment failures.

You will work on fintech platforms processing billions of USD monthly, collaborating with SDEs, PMs, and customers to design scalable systems, improve disbursement reliability, and deliver features iteratively in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software development experience.
• 7+ years of programming with at least one software programming language.
• 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a Best-in-Class customer experience by continuously improving platform, code and services that enable vendor payments
• Build agentic solutions to improve the success of Global/World wide Vendor Payments reducing payment failures
• Build services/integration to improve the scalability and extensibility of the new AP platform, Teller, to support high volume of business migration at scale
• Design and Develop best integration patterns for our system across Tax modules including federated enrichments and validations. Leverage and integrate with different tools, technologies and products with in Amazon to reduce payments operational cost and enhance customer experience
• Partner directly with other Software Development Engineers (SDEs), Technical Program Managers, Functional Analysts and Customers to understand features and continuously identify opportunities to build and deploy agentic solutions

FinTech owns the technical platform responsible for billions of dollars of payments each month to Amazon vendors across the globe. We build and ultiize services and applications using AWS and leverage agentic ML based solutions while providing full visibility into the transactions using static and machine learning models. We delight our vendors by paying them when they want and how they want accurately and timely. We build software Applications that facilitate global financial transactions worth billions (USD) annually that rival the complexity and scope of dedicated payments fin-tech companies. You will have the opportunity to work in high paced environment leveraging AIDLC within our core principles of engineering to deliver faster and ship features incrementally.

Key job responsibilities

In This Role You Will

Basic Qualifications

• 7+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 7+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
• 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
