Job summary

Amazon is hiring a Sr Software Development Engineer for Amazon Smart Vehicles in Bengaluru. You will design and implement software for in-car voice-first experiences, partner with product and cross-functional teams, and help shape the architecture of next‑generation vehicle software.

You will work in an Agile/Scrum environment to deliver high-quality code, mentor junior engineers, perform peer reviews, and push secure, testable systems that scale for millions of customers.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience.
• 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team.

A day in the life

As a Senior Software Development Engineer, you will be focused on the design, implementation, and delivery of software in ambiguous and complex problem spaces. You will be working with an assorted set of stakeholders across organization such as product, and program management teams and will influence the technology decisions that will drive future products and features that directly affect our growth in this critical space.

Basic Qualifications

• - 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• - 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
• - 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• - Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team

Preferred Qualifications

• - 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
• - Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
