Job summary

IBM Consulting seeks a senior security analyst to design, deploy and optimize content for SIEM/XDR/SOAR, aligning detection with the MITRE framework. You will work with SOC teams, integrate content across platforms and monitor performance to drive improvements.

This role requires 8–10 years of experience, a Master’s degree, and CISSP or equivalent. Palo Alto XIAM certification and XSOAR exposure are highly desirable, with experience in large-scale migration projects.

Qualifications

• 8-10 years of experience in SOC/SIEM/XDR environments.
• Master's degree and professional security certifications.
• CISSP or equivalent certification highly preferred.
• Palo Alto XIAM certification desirable; XSOAR exposure valued.
• Experience with large-scale SIEM migrations and data source integrations.

Responsibilities

• Creates, updates, tests, and deploys security content.
• Updates are measured against the MITRE framework.
• Collaborate with security operations to optimize SIEM deployments.
• Develop and maintain SIEM dashboards, alerts, and reports.
• Create SIEM use cases to detect specific threats.

Responsibilities

Your role and responsibilities

• Creates, updates, tests, and deploys content.
• Updates are measured against the MITRE framework.
• Work with the security operations team to ensure that the SIEM system is configured and optimized to detect and respond to security incidents.
• Develop and maintain SIEM dashboards, alerts, and reports. Create and maintain SIEM use cases to detect specific security threats.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the effectiveness of detection mechanisms. (SOC Analyst, Cyber Threat Intel, Cyber Threat Hunting, SOC Management)
• Integrate content with various platforms and ensure seamless delivery aligned with business objectives and industry best practices.
• Monitor and analyze (XDR/SIEM/SOAR) content performance metrics to drive continuous improvement, troubleshooting and documenting.

Continuously monitor the threat landscape and stay updated with the latest attack techniques and tactics.
