Deutsche Bank is seeking an experienced Functional Analyst to join the lending department of Private Bank Germany. The role bridges client needs with the technical delivery team and covers the full software delivery lifecycle from initial scoping to detailed analysis and collaboration with IT to deliver working solutions.

You will work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment, contributing to L3 production support and ensuring high-quality requirements and documentation.

Qualifications

• Excellent analysis skills with experience in process modelling, use cases and data modelling.
• Experience in data analysis projects including SQL.
• Financial domain experience is a plus, especially lending.
• Experience across full project life cycle and agile methodology.
• Ability to identify and document client needs and technical requirements.
• Strong written and oral communication; attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with business, operations and IT teams to ensure successful delivery.
• Assist and support QA activities (QAT, SIT, UAT) and deliverables.

Job description

The business which this development team is supporting is the lending department within Private Bank Germany. The whole life cycle for mortgage and consumer loans as well as securitization solutions for these loans is covered within the department and supported by the several teams.

To extend and maintain these systems, an experienced Functional Analyst is required.

The key objective of this role is to bridge the gap between the client’s needs and the technical delivery team and to help successfully deliver projects within this diverse and challenging space. The Functional Analyst will be heavily involved at all stages of the software delivery lifecycle from initial scoping and planning exercises through to the detailed analysis and collaboration with the IT team to deliver working software.

The role requires an enthusiastic, pragmatic self-starter who wants to solve problems by delivering quality and cost-effective solutions through the employment of excellent business analysis techniques and functional domain knowledge.

The role includes also participation in L3 production support activities.

Your Skills & Experience

Outstanding analysis skills comprising demonstrable experience of all aspects of analysis such as business process modelling, use cases/user story writing, data modelling. All of the above in the context and use of the UML standards.

Experience in working on projects requiring data analysis (including SQL)

Previous Financial Domain experience is a plus

Beneficial to have understanding of financial products especially in the Lending area

Comfortable working within a full project life cycle from initiation through to delivery

Experience of working with an agile methodology would be an advantage

Experience in identifying and documenting client technical needs, internal structures, procedures, workflows and systems

Excellent written and oral communication

Flexible - keen to learn new technologies and to extend business domain knowledge

Good problem-solving skills

Demonstrable success in meeting deadlines and operating with clients and vendors

Work to schedules, potentially across multiple projects and teams

Pragmatic yet showing a high attention to detail

Educated to degree level

Good to have Swagger definition knowledge

Experience on tools like Jira, Confluence, HPLM
