Job summary

SnapBizz is seeking a Senior QA Engineer (Manual Testing) for Bangalore. The role requires 4–5 years of hands-on testing experience, with strong knowledge of STLC/SDLC, defect life cycle, and API testing using Postman.

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior QA Engineer with strong manual testing experience to ensure the quality, reliability, and functionality of our applications. The candidate should have excellent knowledge of testing methodologies and be able to work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Understand business and technical requirements and prepare test scenarios and test cases.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, system, exploratory, and usability testing.
• Execute test cases and identify, document, and track defects.
• Perform end-to-end testing of applications.
• Retest defects and conduct regression testing after fixes.
• Participate in requirement analysis and identify potential quality issues early.
• Work closely with developers and Product Managers to understand and resolve issues.
• Perform API testing using Postman.
• Validate data using SQL/database queries.
• Maintain test documentation, test reports, and defect reports.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Support release and production validation activities.
• Contribute to improving QA processes and testing standards.
• Mentor junior QA team members and provide guidance on testing practices.

Required Skills

• 4–5 years of experience in Manual Software Testing.
• Strong understanding of STLC, SDLC, and Defect Life Cycle.
• Hands-on experience in functional and regression testing.
• Strong experience in test case design and execution.
• Experience with JIRA or similar defect-tracking tools.
• Good knowledge of API testing and Postman.
• Basic to strong knowledge of SQL/database testing.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and documentation skills.
