Haleon in Bangalore, India seeks a Senior Product Manager for Payroll & Time to lead the global technology portfolio. You will define strategy, build a multi-year roadmap, and drive large-scale transformations across regions and vendors.

You will own Workday Payroll and Time solutions, partner with HR, Finance, and Compliance, and push automation, governance, and data-driven insights to improve payroll accuracy and efficiency.

Qualifications

  • 15+ years of experience in HR Technology, Payroll Technology, or Enterprise Product Management.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Workday Payroll and/or Workday Time & Attendance.
  • Experience managing complex global Payroll and Time technology landscapes.
  • Proven success delivering large-scale HR or Payroll transformation programmes.
  • Experience leading product roadmaps, prioritization, and agile delivery teams.
  • Deep understanding of payroll data flows, integrations, and governance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead business cases and investments for payroll transformation initiatives.
  • Own end-to-end Payroll and Time portfolio including Workday modules.
  • Prioritize demand, technical debt, and regulatory requirements across the portfolio.
  • Lead cross-functional teams, delivery partners, and vendors to deliver outcomes.
  • Ensure successful execution of large global programmes, releases, and transformations.
  • Act as technology lead for payroll platforms across multiple countries.
  • Partner with Payroll, HR Ops, Finance, Risk, and Compliance teams.
  • Drive automation, data quality, controls, and audit readiness.
  • Oversee data flows, interfaces, and payroll technology controls.
  • Enable data-driven decisions with payroll analytics and reporting.

About The Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Product Manager – Payroll, Time & Attendance to lead our global Payroll and Time technology portfolio. This role is accountable for defining and executing the technology strategy, roadmap, and operational model for Payroll and Time solutions across a complex multi-country landscape. The successful candidate will combine deep expertise in Workday Payroll and Time with broader payroll ecosystem knowledge, and have experience managing large-scale transformation programmes, vendor‑managed services, integrations, automation, and operational excellence initiatives. This is a strategic leadership role responsible for ensuring payroll technology enables accurate, compliant, scalable, and efficient payroll operations while supporting the broader HR transformation agenda.

Role Responsibilities
  • Define and own the Payroll and Time technology strategy aligned to business objectives, workforce transformation priorities, and enterprise architecture standards.
  • Develop and maintain a multi-year product roadmap covering payroll modernization, automation, simplification, compliance, and user experience improvements.
  • Evaluate future-state operating models, vendor landscapes, and emerging technologies to drive continuous improvement and business value.
  • Lead strategic assessments and business cases for payroll transformation initiatives and technology investments.
  • Product Management & Delivery
  • Own the end-to-end Payroll and Time product portfolio, including Workday Payroll, Time & Attendance, and local payroll solutions.
  • Prioritize demand, enhancements, technical debt, and regulatory requirements across the portfolio.
  • Lead cross-functional product teams, delivery partners, and vendors to deliver strategic outcomes and operational improvements.
  • Ensure successful execution of major global programmes, releases, and transformation initiatives.
  • Payroll Technology & Operations
  • Act as the technology lead for payroll platforms supporting payroll operations across multiple countries.
  • Partner closely with Payroll, HR Operations, Finance, Risk, and Compliance teams to ensure stable and compliant payroll processing.
  • Drive improvements in payroll accuracy, controls, audit readiness, automation, and operational resilience.
  • Oversee payroll calendars, interfaces, data flows, and critical payroll technology controls.
  • Lead initiatives focused on input consolidation, workflow optimization, automation, and reduction of manual processes.
  • Partner with enterprise architecture and integration teams to establish scalable and secure solutions.
  • Enable data-driven decision making through payroll reporting, analytics, and operational insights.
Stakeholder Management
  • Build strong partnerships with senior HR, Payroll, Finance, Technology, and business leaders.
  • Present roadmaps, investment proposals, risks, and strategic recommendations to executive stakeholders.
  • Influence decision making across functional and technical teams while balancing short-term operational needs with long-term strategic goals.
Essential

Required Experience

  • 15+ years of experience in HR Technology, Payroll Technology, or Enterprise Product Management.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Workday Payroll and/or Workday Time & Attendance.
  • Experience managing complex global Payroll and Time technology landscapes.
  • Proven success delivering large-scale HR or Payroll transformation programmes.
  • Experience leading product roadmaps, prioritization, and agile delivery teams.
  • Deep understanding of payroll integrations, upstream/downstream system dependencies, and payroll data flows.
  • Experience managing AMS providers, managed services, and outsourced support models.
  • Strong understanding of governance, risk, compliance, controls, and audit requirements within payroll environments.
  • Demonstrated experience driving automation, simplification, and process transformation initiatives.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and executive communication skills.
Preferred
  • Experience/Knowledge with additional payroll platforms such as SAP, ADP, Alight, SD Worx, NGA, UKG, Ceridian, Dayforce, Oracle Payroll, or other regional payroll solutions.
  • Experience with Workday Extend, Integration Cloud, Prism, or related technologies.
  • Experience operating in global, highly regulated environments.
  • Exposure to AI, intelligent automation, workflow orchestration, and employee service technologies.
  • Knowledge of Workforce Management, scheduling, absence, and time capture solutions.
