Job description

RBS SPEG UDE team is looking for Sr. Program Manager to drive defect elimination for WW Retail under Financial Disputes program. In this role, you will be expected to partner with upstream tech and retail teams to drive automation and efficiency. This role will closely work with senior leadership team in Retail WW to drive upstream defect elimination and delivering on business KPI's. Key success factors for this role will be performance on Business goals, Vendor and Customer Experience and Cost of operations.

Candidate Profile

Candidate will have 8+ years of experience in Vendor Management and Retail Operations. Additionally, you will have program management skills with the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders and drive project execution. Lastly, you will be expected to deliver solutions and programs that are technology based, highly scalable - while maintaining a good customer and business partner focus.

You will have a demonstrated record of leading projects not only at the strategic level, but also tactically by diving deeply into business and technical domains. This requires a person that is very metrics driven, yet has the vision to scale the business. The individual would be responsible for overall planning, budgeting, growth, delivery and productivity of the program. The individual would have targets on elimination of defects causing downstream payment issues for vendors. Would engage with central product and program teams and build customer confidence through quality delivery, robust processes and sound reporting metrics.

Key job responsibilities
  • Lead high-impact UDE projects in cost optimization and revenue generation by identifying systemic defects, influencing upstream team roadmaps, and driving cross-organizational alignment.
  • Establish comprehensive governance frameworks for UDE programs, including pipeline development, quality controls, and executive reporting mechanisms.
  • Partner with senior leaders across multiple VP organizations to secure bandwidth and prioritize defect elimination over reactive fixes.
  • Drive SPCtS goals through strategic UDE implementation, building robust pipelines that exceed targets while maintaining rigorous quality standards.

  • Program Governance Excellence - Establishes scalable frameworks including quality controls, standardized methodologies, and executive reporting mechanisms. Maintains rigorous oversight of 30+ concurrent initiatives while driving accountability through structured reviews and clear escalation paths.
  • Financial Acumen - Quantifies complex business impacts across COI, iGMS, VCtS, and HC savings with Data Science's & finance validation. Secures pre-approvals and entitlement sign-offs through systematic methodology alignment with RBS Finance and Data Sciences teams.
  • Technical Problem-Solving - Conducts root cause analysis on systemic defects, designs upstream solutions, and drives end-to-end implementation across legacy systems. Navigates technical complexities while managing engineering dependencies and resource constraints.
  • Stakeholder Management - Orchestrates workshops with 10+ cross-functional teams, presents strategic documents to retail leaders, and maintains regular engagement with senior stakeholders. Translates technical details into business outcomes for executive audiences.

Basic Qualifications
  • 5+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience
  • 5+ years of program or project management experience
  • 5+ years of delivering cross functional projects experience
  • Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2+ years of driving process improvements experience
  • Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field
