Job summary

Capco, a Wipro company, is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer in a hybrid work model in India. The role focuses on designing secure, scalable infrastructure with expertise in networking, internet technologies, and web infrastructure. 5+ years of experience required, with collaboration across architects and engineering teams.

The candidate will contribute to end-to-end infrastructure design and ensure high availability and security aligned with enterprise standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering or platform design.
• Experience designing secure, scalable, highly available infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of networking, web servers, and internet infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver end-to-end infrastructure solutions and ensure readiness.
• Translate requirements into high-level infrastructure designs.
• Create and maintain architecture documents and diagrams (TADs and Visio).
• Design and support infrastructure involving web servers, load balancers, firewalls, networking, and security.
• Define high availability, failover, disaster recovery, and routing strategies.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure availability, capacity, performance, and architectural issues.
• Evaluate new technologies and recommend security-aligned solutions.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, application teams, and stakeholders.

We are looking for a Senior Platform Engineer with strong experience in infrastructure architecture, internet technologies, networking, and web infrastructure. The role will focus on designing secure, scalable, and highly available infrastructure solutions aligned with enterprise standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and deliver end-to-end infrastructure solutions and ensure infrastructure readiness.
• Translate application and business requirements into high-level infrastructure designs.
• Create and maintain Technical Architecture Documents (TADs), logical flows, architecture diagrams, and infrastructure models, including Microsoft Visio diagrams.
• Design and support infrastructure involving web/application servers, load balancers, firewalls, networking, and security.
• Define high availability, failover, disaster recovery, and routing strategies.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure availability, capacity, performance, and architectural issues.
• Evaluate new technologies and recommend solutions aligned with architecture and security standards.
• Collaborate effectively with architects, engineers, application teams, and other stakeholders.

Key Skills

• Strong knowledge of networking, operating systems, web architecture, and internet infrastructure.
• Deep understanding of load balancers, firewall policies/configuration, failover, disaster recovery, and routing.
• Experience with infrastructure architecture/design and Microsoft Visio.
• Good understanding of cloud architecture and design principles.
• Strong troubleshooting, performance tuning, capacity planning, and configuration management skills.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills.
