Job summary

IDAC India Pvt Ltd in Pune invites a Sr. Piping Engineer (Plant 3D) to lead piping design activities, develop detailed layouts and isometrics, and ensure compliance with project specs, codes, and standards on site.

Qualifications

• Strong skills in piping design and layout development.

• Proficiency in Plant 3D or equivalent 3D piping design software with familiarity of ASME, ANSI, ISO codes.

• Experience in oil & gas, process, energy, or infrastructure with multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and mentor junior team members.

Role Description

The Sr. Piping Engineer (Plant 3D Software) is a full-time, on-site role based in the Pune Division. This role involves leading piping design activities using Plant 3D and related tools, developing detailed piping layouts and isometric drawings, and ensuring designs meet project specifications, codes, and standards. The engineer will perform piping calculations and stress analysis, coordinate with structural, mechanical, and process teams, and resolve technical issues during design and execution. Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing and validating engineering deliverables, guiding junior engineers and designers, supporting client reviews, and contributing to design optimization for safety, reliability, and cost effectiveness. The role also requires maintaining documentation, adhering to quality procedures, and supporting project schedules and resource planning.

• Candidates should possess strong skills in Piping Design and Piping, including layout development and system configuration.
• Candidates should possess solid expertise in Pipe and Stress Analysis for different operating conditions and code compliance.
• Candidates should possess proficiency in engineering Calculations related to piping systems, pressure ratings, and supports.
• Proficiency in Plant 3D or equivalent 3D piping design software, along with familiarity with relevant industry codes (ASME, ANSI, ISO).
• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline, with significant experience in piping engineering for industrial plants.
• Experience in sectors such as oil & gas, process, energy, or infrastructure, and in working with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and effective communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
