- Implement end-to-end US payroll activities, ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing in compliance with regulatory and company requirements.
- Review payroll transactions, validate employee data, perform reconciliations, and resolve payroll discrepancies to maintain payroll integrity.
- Manage payroll inquiries from employees and business stakeholders, providing timely and professional resolution.
- Partner with HR, Finance, Tax, and external payroll vendors to ensure seamless payroll operations and issue resolution.
- Support payroll tax activities, year-end processing, reporting requirements, and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Perform payroll audits, controls testing, and documentation reviews to support governance and compliance requirements.
- Prepare payroll reports, metrics, and analysis to identify risks, trends, and opportunities for operational improvement.
- Assist with payroll system enhancements, testing activities, and technology-driven process improvement initiatives.
- Contribute to month-end, quarter-end, and year-end payroll activities, including reconciliations and audit support.
- Drive standardization, process optimization, and continuous improvement efforts to enhance payroll service delivery and employee experience.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and ensure data privacy, security, and compliance across all payroll operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 4-6+ years of payroll experience, including significant exposure to United States payroll operations.
- Strong understanding of payroll regulations, wage and hour requirements, payroll taxes, and compliance standards.
- Experience working with payroll vendors and HRIS/payroll platforms such as Workday, Oracle, ADP, CloudPay, or similar systems.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including data analysis, reconciliation, pivot tables, and reporting.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze payroll data, investigate issues, and implement effective solutions.
- Experience supporting payroll audits, controls, governance activities, and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to collaborate across functions and geographies.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working within Shared Services, Global Business Services, or multinational organizations preferred.
- Professional payroll certifications such as FPC, CPP, or equivalent credentials preferred.
- Ability to work a hybrid schedule and periodically align with US business hours to support payroll operations.
