TE Connectivity Pune seeks a Senior Manager of Manufacturing Engineering to lead a 30+ engineering team, delivering new product launches and productionization of 20-25+ projects with focus on timing, quality, cost and performance.

The role requires strong leadership in APQP, voice of the customer, and supplier development, with emphasis on automation, lean practices, and India localization.

Qualifications

15-20+ years in medium/large matrix organizations.
Hands-on experience designing and building complex machines for automotive industry.
Updated knowledge on current programming and design software.

Responsibilities

Lead a team of 30+ manufacturing engineers for new product launches.
End-to-end responsibility for capturing customer and stakeholder requirements and delivering the machine.
Coach the team to build ME capability and drive localization in India.
Identify automation and cost-saving opportunities on existing lines.
Apply Lean concepts to eliminate waste and drive next generation machines.

Job Overview

The incumbent will lead a team of 30+ Manufacturing Engineers and be responsible for defining, developing, and deploying manufacturing processes and equipment for new product launches in line with TS India's strategic expansion plans. The role is accountable for the annual productionization of 20-25+ mid-to-complexity projects, delivering operational readiness while consistently achieving targets for timing, quality, cost, and performance.

Responsibilities

Responsible to lead a team of engineers for delivering Special Purpose machinery to the Plant NPD team for execution of all new projects as per agreed APQP timelines
End to End responsible for capturing the voice of Customers and All Stakeholder requirements of the product and then Buy/Build the machine to meet the expectations
Train and Coach the team to build the M.E Capability.
Work closely with Procurement team to Develop Supplier base and increase localization of machine manufacturing in India
Identify Automation and Cost Saving opportunities on Existing Production Lines and deliver realization
Apply Lean Concepts in the initial phase to eliminate waste and build Next Generation machines.

Education and Knowledge

Technical Degree B.E or any Technical Equivalent degree
Masters in Technical would be an added advantage

Critical Experience

15-20+ years of experience working in medium or large matrix organizations.
Hands on Experience in designing and building Complex Pin Stitching machines, Complex Automation machines for Automotive industry.
Updated knowledge on current Programming Software’s and Design Software’s.
