Job summary

Teva in India is seeking a Senior Manager to lead Data Lake Operations across the data platform, setting direction for Databricks and Azure, and establishing governance standards. You will design scalable data architectures and own data pipelines from design to production, partnering with cross-functional teams to enable AI-ready data products.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in data engineering, lakehouse architectures, and data modeling.
• Experience with Azure data services (Databricks, Data Factory, Synapse).
• Strong hands-on Python, PySpark, SQL proficiency; ML libraries knowledge is a plus.

As Senior Manager, you'll lead the Data Lake Operations across Teva's entire data platform — setting the direction for Databricks and Azure, designing the foundations that make AI and machine learning production-ready at scale, and establishing the data governance standards that keep it all trustworthy. For a leader who wants breadth, autonomy, and visible impact — where the systems you design ultimately support better health outcomes for millions of people.How You’ll Spend Your Day•Provide end-to-end engineering support across the data lifecycle, including data acquisition, organization, analysis, and delivery.•Design scalable architectures for new data products, platform capabilities, and data solutions.•Develop and maintain data pipelines using Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Python, PySpark, and SQL.•Translate business requirements, functional specifications, and user stories into secure and reliable technical solutions.•Own data engineering initiatives from design through production deployment, applying CI/CD, security, and operational best practices.•Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues and optimize data delivery.Your Skills and Experience•Min 10+ Years Experience with Delta Lake, lakehouse architecture, and data modeling concepts.•Familiarity with Azure Synapse Analytics, Microsoft Fabric, or other cloud data platforms.•Knowledge of data governance, metadata management, data lineage, and data quality practices.•Exposure to containerization and orchestration technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes.•Experience with streaming and event-driven technologies, such as Kafka or Azure Event Hubs.•Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code, monitoring, and observability tools for data platforms.•Strong hands-on proficiency in Python, PySpark, and SQL, with a good understanding of machine learning libraries.•Proven expertise in Microsoft Azure data services, including Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, and Azure DevOps.•Solid knowledge of CI/CD principles and experience implementing automated build, testing, and deployment pipelines.•Strong understanding of API and web-service security, data security practices, and secure data engineering methods.•Hands-on experience with relational databases, such as SQL Server, Oracle, or MySQL, including data modeling and query optimization.•Excellent communication, collaboration, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and across teams.Also Good to HaveSalary RangeHow We’ll Take Care of YouAt Teva, better health starts from within, and that includes you.
