Job summary

Wholsum Foods in Gurgaon is seeking a Procurement Senior Manager – RM/PM to lead sourcing, procurement, and vendor development for raw materials and packaging.

You will ensure material availability at the right cost, time, and quality, collaborate with R&D, lead price negotiations, and implement KPIs. A strong commercial acumen and ERP expertise are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or supply chain or related field; MBA preferred.
• 6–8 years of RM/PM procurement experience in FMCG/manufacturing.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and supplier-management skills.
• ERP experience (SAP/NetSuite) and familiarity with procurement tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead vendor base development for Raw and Packaging Materials with quality, cost, and service targets.
• Develop procurement strategies to ensure uninterrupted supply at best value.
• Collaborate with R&D/NPD for onboarding of new materials and packaging ideas.
• Manage price negotiations, contracts, and cost-saving initiatives.
• Establish KPIs (OTIF, cost, lead time) and drive regular stakeholder reviews.
• Drive procurement process improvements and ERP-driven digitization.

WHAT WILL YOU DO AT WHOLSUM FOODS?

As Procurement Sr.Manager – RM/PM, you will lead the sourcing, procurement, and vendor development initiatives for all Raw Materials (RM) and Packaging Materials (PM). Your key responsibility will be to ensure the right materials are available at the right cost, time, and quality to support our production and new product development needs. This is a critical role requiring strong commercial acumen, cross-functional collaboration, and execution excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and manage a strong vendor base for Raw and Packaging Materials aligned with quality, cost, and service expectations.
• Develop procurement strategies that ensure uninterrupted supply at the best value, while mitigating supply risks.
• Collaborate with R&D and NPD teams for timely onboarding of vendors for new materials and packaging innovations.
• Lead price negotiations, contractual agreements, and drive cost-saving initiatives across the procurement portfolio.
• Establish procurement KPIs (OTIF, cost, lead time, inventory health) and drive regular reviews with internal and external stakeholders.
• Implement best practices in vendor evaluation, material planning, and purchase order processes.
• Monitor market trends for key raw materials and packaging inputs to forecast price movements and manage budgets.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, quality standards, and regulatory requirements in all procurement activities.
• Own the digitization and streamlining of procurement processes via ERP and relevant procurement tools.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or Supply Chain, or related field. MBA preferred.
• 6–8 years of relevant experience in RM/PM Procurement, preferably in Food, FMCG, or Manufacturing sectors.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and supplier management skills.
• Ability to lead procurement projects and influence cross-functional teams.
• Working knowledge of ERP systems (SAP/NetSuite or similar).
• Comfortable with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; knowledge of procurement software tools is a plus.
• Deep understanding of RM/PM specifications, quality norms, and food safety regulations is essential.
