Job summary

POWERFULL ENERGY TRADING PRIVATE LIMITED (PETPL) is seeking a BD & Operations professional to identify and develop new business opportunities in the power trading market, while coordinating day-to-day operations, scheduling, and regulatory compliance across multiple offices in Delhi-NCR, Lucknow and Agra.

The role emphasizes building client relationships, market analysis, bid preparation, and ensuring timely bids and schedules with DISCOMs, generators, and industrial consumers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Engineering (Electrical preferred), Energy Management, or MBA in Power Management.
• Minimum experience 3 to 15 years in relevant field.
• CTC best as per industry standard.
• Job location: Delhi-NCR / Lucknow / Agra.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities in the power trading market.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, DISCOMs, generators, and industrial consumers.
• Conduct market research and analyze demand-supply trends in electricity markets.
• Prepare proposals, presentations, and commercial bids.
• Achieve sales targets and revenue growth.
• Coordinate day-to-day power trading operations (short-term and long-term contracts).
• Schedule power transactions through power exchanges like IEX and PXIL.
• Ensure timely submission of bids and schedules.
• Monitor real-time power flow and handle deviations.
• Maintain transaction records and MIS reports.
• Ensure compliance with CERC and SERC regulations and stay updated with policies, tariffs, and market rules.
• Liaise with internal teams (finance, legal, scheduling).
• Coordinate with SLDC/RLDC for scheduling and dispatch.

1. BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

4. COORDINATION

• Liaise with internal teams (finance, legal, scheduling).
• Coordinate with SLDC/RLDC for scheduling and dispatch.

5. REQUIRED SKILLS

• Strong understanding of power trading and electricity markets.
• Knowledge of short-term, day-ahead, and real-time markets.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and data analysis.
