Job summary

Crossover Talent is seeking a Sr. Manager - HNI & Philanthropy to build and manage a portfolio of HNI/UHNI individuals and family foundations for major and multi-year gifts.

The role covers the full donor lifecycle, including diaspora fundraising in the USA and UK, reporting to the Director of Resource Mobilisation & Communications. The ideal candidate will have 7–10 years in major gift fundraising with strong relationship skills and CRM experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate with relevant degree required.
• 7-10 years experience in major gift fundraising or HNI relationship management.
• Strong knowledge of India's HNI/UHNI landscape and diaspora giving is a plus.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, capable of engaging CXO level contacts.
• Structured, target-driven, with CRM and donor pipeline management; familiarity with AI tools for research/writing.

Responsibilities

• Map HNI/UHNI landscape in India and build a pipeline of 50+ prospects.
• Design personalized cultivation plans and lead multi-year gift solicitations.
• Manage existing donors and drive retention and upgrades with impact updates.
• Conceptualize donor events and represent the organization at philanthropy forums.
• Identify and cultivate Indian diaspora philanthropists in US & UK.
• Maintain CRM, provide revenue forecasts, and own annual HNI fundraising targets.

Role Overview:

To build and manage a portfolio of HNI / UHNI individuals and family foundations to secure major and multi-year gifts (INR 25L to crores). The role owns the full donor lifecycle - prospecting to stewardship - and supports diaspora fundraising in the USA & UK. Reports to Director - Resource Mobilisation & Communications.

Key Responsibilities:

• 1. Pipeline & Research: Map India HNI/UHNI landscape, build a prioritized pipeline of 50+ prospects with clear ask strategies.
• 2. Cultivation & Solicitation: Design personalized cultivation plans, lead solicitations, negotiate gift terms, and close multi-year gifts in partnership with senior leadership & board.
• 3. Stewardship: Manage existing donors, drive retention & upgrades through impact updates, meetings, and bespoke donor collateral in collaboration with Communications.
• 4. Events & Networking: Conceptualize intimate donor dinners, field visits, leadership forums and represent the org at philanthropy forums like GivingPi, Dasra, AIP.
• 5. Diaspora Philanthropy: Identify and cultivate Indian diaspora philanthropists in US & UK.
• 6. Tracking & Reporting: Maintain CRM, provide revenue forecasts and own annual HNI fundraising targets.

Qualifications:

• 1. Graduate required, PG in Management / Social Work preferred
• 2. 7-10 years experience in major gift fundraising, HNI relationship management, private wealth or family office engagement with proven closures.
• 3. Strong knowledge of India's HNI/UHNI philanthropic landscape and giving networks; diaspora giving knowledge is a big plus.
• 4. Exceptional interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence, and comfort engaging at CXO / promoter level
• 5. Structured, target-driven, proficient in CRM & donor pipeline management; familiarity with AI tools for research/writing with donor confidentiality.
