Novo Nordisk A/S in Bangalore is seeking a Sr Manager – Digital & Data Innovation and Governance to shape how we engage healthcare professionals and patients through data-driven and AI-enabled experiences.

You will bridge innovation, governance and compliance in a fast-moving, cross-functional environment, leading pilots and building governance frameworks to scale trusted digital initiatives globally.

Qualifications

  • 8–12 years of experience in digital transformation, data governance, IT risk, analytics, AI innovation or technology-enabled business transformation.
  • Experience in pharmaceuticals, healthcare, MedTech, digital health or another regulated industry.
  • Hands-on experience in data governance frameworks, data quality, data ownership, access management and control design.
  • Strong experience in IT risk assessment, privacy, cybersecurity, third-party risk and regulatory compliance, with practical knowledge of AI governance, automation, cloud platforms and analytics solutions.
  • Proven ability to take digital or data innovations from concept and pilot through to implementation and scale.
  • Strong programme management, stakeholder management, communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively across Omnichannel, Patient Engagement, Marketing, Medical, IT, Legal and Compliance teams.
  • The ability to balance innovation and customer value with risk management and compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and evaluate innovative digital and technology-enabled approaches to improve HCP and patient engagement.
  • Co-create new engagement concepts, pilots and use cases with Omnichannel, Patient Engagement, Marketing and Medical teams and lead from ideation to scale‑up.
  • Establish and maintain data governance frameworks, including ownership, stewardship, quality standards, metadata, access controls and retention requirements.
  • Enable trusted data products, dashboards and insights to support engagement decision-making and drive data literacy.
  • Coordinate IT risk assessments for digital platforms, data solutions, AI use cases, vendors and integrations (privacy, cybersecurity, access management, third‑party risk).
  • Establish responsible AI controls, including use-case assessment, human oversight, transparency and monitoring.
  • Act as Digital, Data and Governance SME for Customer Engagement in global governance forums.

Your new role

As Sr Manager – Digital & Data Innovation and Governance, you will sit at the intersection of innovation, data and compliance, driving how we engage with healthcare professionals and patients through smarter, more connected digital experiences. This is a role where strategic thinking meets hands‑on execution – from identifying emerging technologies and leading proof‑of‑concept pilots to building the governance frameworks that keep our data trusted and our practices compliant.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Identifying and evaluating innovative digital and technology‑enabled approaches – including AI, automation, conversational platforms and digital health solutions – to improve HCP and patient engagement
  • Co‑creating new engagement concepts, pilots and use cases with Omnichannel, Patient Engagement, Marketing and Medical teams, and leading them from ideation through to scale‑up
  • Establishing and maintaining data governance frameworks, including data ownership, stewardship, quality standards, metadata, access controls and retention requirements

  • Acting as the Digital, Data and Governance subject‑matter expert for Customer Engagement, representing the function in relevant global digital, data, risk and governance forums

Your skills & qualifications
