Job summary

Standard Chartered India is seeking a hands-on DevOps engineer for SCB Financial Markets, working in the eTrading team supporting the FX trading business.

The role spans BAU and project work, focusing on maintaining and enhancing the current toolset, and driving automation across CI, deployment, monitoring, and release processes. You will collaborate with development, QA and production support teams to ensure smooth deliveries.

Qualifications

• Strong scripting knowledge in Linux (bash), Groovy and Python.
• Configuration Management using Ansible and Puppet.
• Experience with DevOps tooling: Jenkins, JIRA, CICD pipelines, Artifactory, Nexus.
• Knowledge of Oracle Database management.
• Containerization: Kubernetes, Podman, OpenShift K8s.
• Clouds: AWS or Azure.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage test environments ensuring deliveries are not impacted.
• Work with QA/Dev/Integration teams across release/delivery processes.
• Focus on automation and self-service; drive CI/CD, deployment, monitoring and release improvements.

Job description

• A technical, hands-on DevOps engineer is required for SCB Financial Markets working in the eTrading team supporting the bank’s FX trading business.
