Support employee-related decisions and review administrative matters such as time records, expenses, leave requests, and overtime.
  • Portfolio Oversight and Project Delivery: Provide guidance, oversight, and coaching to project teams to ensure that clinical data management activities are completed accurately, on time, within budget, and in line with client expectations.
  • Resource Planning and Allocation: Manage staffing requirements and workload distribution across assigned teams and projects. Coordinate global resource planning, monitor capacity, and collaborate with senior management to address resource needs and optimize utilization.
  • Quality Assurance and Compliance: Ensure that team members follow established standard operating procedures, documented processes, regulatory requirements, and client-specific guidelines. Promote consistent quality standards and operational excellence across all assigned activities.
  • Clinical Study Support: Support the operational execution of clinical studies and portfolios, working closely with study managers to address challenges, maintain project progress, and ensure that deliverables meet quality and timeline requirements.
  • Process Development and Improvement: Contribute to the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of data management processes, procedures, and operational standards. Identify opportunities to increase efficiency, improve consistency, and strengthen service delivery.

  • Performance and Workload Management: Monitor team performance, project milestones, and workload demands. Establish clear priorities, address delivery risks, and adjust plans when project requirements or resource needs change.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with senior management, study managers, and cross-functional stakeholders to align operational priorities, resolve issues, and support successful project execution.
  • Confidentiality and Data Protection: Maintain strict confidentiality when handling clinical data, client information, and proprietary materials, ensuring that all activities follow applicable policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification, supported by relevant academic, technical, or vocational training. A combination of appropriate education, training, and directly relevant experience may also be considered.
  • Professional Experience: Approximately 8-14 years of relevant professional experience, with at least 4 years in a leadership or people-management role.
  • Clinical Data Management Expertise: Strong understanding of clinical data management processes and the ability to act as a subject matter expert in data management activities supporting clinical research studies.
  • Leadership and Team Development: Demonstrated ability to manage, motivate, and develop team members through coaching, mentoring, performance management, delegation, and professional development planning.
  • Operational and Project Management: Experience overseeing multiple projects or a portfolio of activities, allocating resources, managing workloads, and ensuring delivery within established timelines and budgets.
  • Regulatory and Procedural Compliance: Ability to apply relevant regulatory guidelines, standard operating procedures, and client requirements consistently across clinical data management operations.
  • Quality and Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy, with a commitment to maintaining high-quality deliverables and identifying discrepancies before they affect project outcomes.
