Job summary

Coupa is seeking a Senior Manager of Kubernetes Platform Engineering to lead the platform engineering team responsible for our cloud infrastructure. You will drive vision for platform automation, resilience, and FinOps alignment across large clusters, eliminating toil and ensuring a high-performance platform.

You will mentor teams across regions, define roadmaps, and collaborate with FinOps, Finance, and DevOps to align budgets with growth while maintaining security and compliance.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing and scaling high-performing Platform, DevOps, or SRE engineering teams.
• Strong technical background in managing Kubernetes at an enterprise scale (EKS/GKE).
• Strategic understanding of intelligent resource automation, FinOps principles, and cloud-native cost management.
• Experience driving the adoption of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automated CI/CD practices.
• Demonstrated ability to partner with finance and product teams to translate technical metrics into business value.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

• Define and execute the strategic roadmap for the Coupa Container Platform, ensuring alignment with broader engineering and business objectives.

• Partner with FinOps, Finance, and DevOps leadership to establish budgets, forecast growth, and cost-avoidance strategies.
• Oversee the operational health, security, and compliance of the enterprise Kubernetes infrastructure.
• Facilitate cross-team collaboration to meet deployment, observability, and scaling needs.

• Partner closely with FinOps, Finance, and DevOps leadership to establish budgets, forecast growth, and champion sustainable cost-avoidance strategies.
• Oversee the operational health, security, and compliance of the enterprise Kubernetes infrastructure.
• Facilitate cross-team collaboration to ensure the platform meets the deployment, observability, and scaling needs of our developers.
