Job summary

Mahindra And Mahindra Ltd. in Nagpur, India seeks a Senior Manager - Building, Utilities & Other Infrastructure for Liaising (Mechanical) to lead regulatory liaison, compliance, and government relations for the Greenfield automotive manufacturing facility, ensuring timely approvals and operational readiness.

You will coordinate with state agencies, drive approval schedules, review technical submissions, and support commissioning, licensing, and SOP readiness.

Qualifications

• BE/BTech in Mechanical Engineering.
• 10-15 years in Liaisoning; Greenfield project exposure considered an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead statutory, regulatory and government liaison activities for mechanical utilities, infrastructure and building projects during the Greenfield phase to ensure timely approvals, clearances and compliance.
• Coordinate with MIDC, DISH, MPCB, Fire Department, Factory Inspectorate and other government agencies for approvals related to industrial buildings, mechanical utilities, HVAC and associated infrastructure.
• Drive planning and monitoring of approval schedules, compliance requirements, statutory milestones and license renewals to support project timelines and operational readiness.
• Review technical submissions, utility layouts, infrastructure drawings and statutory documents to ensure compliance with regulations, codes, standards and approval requirements.
• Coordinate with internal project teams, consultants, contractors and regulatory authorities to facilitate inspections, audits, approvals and statutory submissions related to infrastructure development.
• Monitor statutory compliance status, maintain approval trackers and ensure timely closure of observations, audit findings and compliance gaps.
• Identify regulatory risks, approval bottlenecks and compliance issues, and implement mitigation plans to minimize delays and operational impact.
• Support commissioning activities, factory licensing, occupancy approvals, fire NOCs, environmental clearances and SOP readiness.
• Maintain statutory records, permits, licenses, approval databases and compliance documentation for audit readiness and governance.
• Support future plant expansions and infrastructure modernization by obtaining necessary statutory and regulatory approvals.

Purpose of the role:

• Review technical submissions, utility layouts, infrastructure drawings and statutory documents to ensure compliance with applicable regulations, codes, standards and approval requirements.
• Coordinate with internal project teams, consultants, contractors and regulatory authorities to facilitate inspections, audits, approvals and statutory submissions related to infrastructure development.
• Monitor statutory compliance status, maintain approval trackers and ensure timely closure of observations, audit findings and compliance gaps.
