Manager - Building, Utilities & Other Infrastructure for Common Infra (Mechanical) to lead planning, execution, commissioning and operational readiness of mechanical utilities for the Greenfield automotive facility. You will drive HVAC, compressed air, chilled water and firefighting systems, review drawings, coordinate cross-functional teams, and manage consultants and vendors to meet safety, quality, cost and delivery targets.

• 10-15 Years of experience in relevant field.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, execution and commissioning of plant-wide common mechanical utility and infrastructure projects during the Greenfield phase.
• Drive development of HVAC systems, compressed air systems, chilled water systems, industrial water systems, firefighting systems, utility piping networks and common utility infrastructure across the facility.
• Review utility layouts, engineering drawings, technical specifications and design deliverables for compliance with project requirements and regulations.
• Coordinate with Manufacturing Engineering, Production, Civil, Electrical, Industrial Engineering and Project teams for seamless integration of utility systems.
• Manage consultants, contractors, vendors and service providers to achieve safety, quality, cost and delivery objectives.
• Monitor project progress, budget utilization and risks; drive corrective actions for milestones and SOP readiness.
• Establish preventive maintenance, TPM and reliability improvement for HVAC, air compressors and utility networks.
• Monitor utility consumption and KPIs; drive energy conservation and cost optimization.
• Ensure compliance with safety requirements, inspections and approvals throughout project and operations.
• Support infrastructure modernization, capacity expansion and future growth with reliable utility availability.

Purpose of the role:

Lead planning, execution, commissioning and operational readiness of common mechanical utilities and infrastructure for the Greenfield Automotive Manufacturing Facility and ensure reliable operation, maintenance, compliance, energy efficiency and future expansion support of utility assets throughout the plant lifecycle.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Lead planning, execution and commissioning of plant-wide common mechanical utility and infrastructure projects during the Greenfield phase, ensuring alignment with project timelines, budget targets and operational readiness requirements.
• Drive development of HVAC systems, compressed air systems, chilled water systems, industrial water systems, firefighting systems, utility piping networks and common utility infrastructure across the manufacturing facility.
• Review utility layouts, engineering drawings, technical specifications and design deliverables to ensure compliance with project requirements, statutory regulations and future expansion plans.
• Coordinate with Manufacturing Engineering, Production, Civil, Electrical, Industrial Engineering and Project teams to ensure seamless integration of common utility systems and infrastructure.
• Manage consultants, contractors, vendors and service providers to achieve project objectives related to safety, quality, cost and delivery.
• Monitor project progress, budget utilization, installation quality and execution risks, and drive corrective actions to ensure timely completion of project milestones and SOP readiness.
• Establish preventive maintenance, TPM and reliability improvement systems for HVAC systems, air compressors, chilled water systems, firefighting systems and utility networks to ensure long‑term operational reliability.
• Monitor utility consumption, system performance and utility KPIs, and drive energy conservation, cost optimization and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with safety requirements, statutory regulations, inspections, audits and utility-related approvals throughout project and operational phases.
• Support infrastructure modernization, capacity expansion, utility augmentation and future business growth requirements while ensuring reliable and sustainable utility availability across the plant.

Experience
