General Summary

We are looking for a highly experienced Staff Engineer – Sensors Software to design, develop, and optimize software for next-generation sensor platforms. The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on experience in embedded software development, DSP programming, and operating system concepts, with a strong understanding of performance, reliability, and system-level integration. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to build robust sensor software solutions for mobile and edge devices, with a focus on low-power, real-time, and high-performance execution environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop software for sensor processing, data acquisition, and real-time system integration.


• Work on DSP-based software architecture, optimization, and algorithm implementation.


• Develop and maintain embedded software components for sensor subsystems.


• Analyze and improve performance, latency, power consumption, and memory usage.


• Apply strong OS concepts including scheduling, concurrency, synchronization, IPC, memory management, and thread design.


• Collaborate with hardware, firmware, algorithms, and systems teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.


• Debug complex system issues using logs, trace tools, and low-level analysis.


• Drive software design reviews, coding best practices, and technical decision-making.


• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership across the team.


• Ensure software quality through unit testing, integration testing, and release readiness.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in software development, preferably in embedded or systems software.


• Strong hands-on experience in embedded systems programming.


• Proven experience with DSP software development and optimization.

• PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.


• 2+ years of work experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
