Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 6+ years of relevant software engineering experience in embedded systems, device drivers, graphics/display, multimedia, or system software.
• Strong programming and debugging skills in C, with understanding of data structures, concurrency, memory management, synchronization and OS fundamentals.
• Hands-on experience with kernel-mode or low-level device drivers on Windows, Linux, or other modern OS.
• Experience debugging ARM-based SoCs or embedded platforms using logs, traces, crash dumps, JTAG or hardware debuggers, and systematic fault isolation.

Responsibilities

• Own moderately complex display-driver features or projects from requirements and architecture through implementation, validation, bring-up, and delivery.
• Lead root-cause analysis of complex display issues across software, firmware, OS, and hardware boundaries; use traces, logs, and dumps to verify evidence.
• Drive display bring-up and stabilization on new Snapdragon platforms, including pre-silicon readiness and performance tuning.
• Collaborate with hardware, firmware, graphics, power, security, validation, system, and customer-engineering teams to deliver integrated solutions.
• Anticipate risks, communicate status clearly, and navigate ambiguity while meeting quality and schedule commitments.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Lead Engineer to join the Windows Display Team in Hyderabad. The role will provide technical leadership for the design, development, integration, optimization, and commercialization of display driver software for Windows-based Snapdragon platforms. The successful candidate will combine strong systems and display-domain expertise with hands‑on execution, project leadership, mentoring, and effective cross‑functional collaboration.

What You Will Do

• Own moderately complex display-driver features or projects from requirements and architecture through implementation, validation, bring‑up, and product delivery.
• Lead root‑cause analysis of complex display issues across software, firmware, operating‑system, and hardware boundaries; integrate and verify evidence from traces, logs, register dumps, and experiments.
• Drive display bring‑up and stabilization on new Snapdragon platforms, including pre‑silicon readiness, board bring‑up, feature enablement, performance tuning, and commercialization support.
• Collaborate with hardware, firmware, graphics, power, security, validation, system, and customer‑engineering teams to deliver integrated solutions.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 6+ years of relevant software engineering experience in embedded systems, device drivers, graphics/display, multimedia, or system software.
• Strong programming and debugging skills in C, with a solid understanding of data structures, concurrency, memory management, synchronization, and operating‑system fundamentals.
• Hands‑on experience developing or debugging kernel‑mode or low‑level device drivers on Windows, Linux, or another modern operating system.
• Experience debugging software on ARM-based SoCs or comparable embedded platforms using logs, traces, crash dumps, JTAG or hardware debuggers, and systematic fault isolation.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 3+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.

OR

Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.

OR

PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Software Engineering or related work experience.

• 2+ years of academic or work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Windows Display Driver Model (WDDM), DirectX graphics infrastructure, Windows kernel concepts, WinDbg, ETW/WPP tracing, or Windows Hardware Lab Kit workflows.
