Job summary

Qualcomm India Private Limited in Bengaluru is seeking a senior graphics software engineer with deep experience in graphics APIs (DX11/12, Vulkan) and C++. You will design, implement, and optimize GPU-driver level features, collaborating with GPU software/hardware teams and external ISVs to deliver high-performance rendering on Adreno GPUs.

Candidates should have 8+ years in graphics, game development with Unreal Engine 5, and strong debugging and OOP skills; familiarity with graphics pipelines

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (Eng/CS) with 4+ years of software engineering or Master's with 3+ years or PhD with 2+ years.
• 2+ years of programming experience in languages such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.

Responsibilities

• Develop and support graphics drivers for Adreno GPUs in collaboration with GPU teams.
• Engage with ISVs to ensure compliant and optimized rendering pipelines.
• Profile performance in DirectX/Vulkan and optimize graphics workflows.

• 8+ years of experience in Graphics APIs - any of DX11/DX12/Vulkan.
• Looking for a developer with strong design experience with OOPS, & C++ development experience.
• Hands-on experience with Game development, experience with Unreal Engine 5, GPU based rendering techniques.
• Prefer prior development experience in implementing/supporting Graphics driver for standards (Direct3D, Vulkan, OpenCL).
• Strong debugging skills would also be preferred
• Will work with GPU Software & Hardware teams, and ISVs to develop/support compliant and optimized Graphics drivers for Adreno GPUs for a competitive edge.
• Prefer prior experience with understanding the graphics rendering pipeline, APIs Inter-Op, and other Multimedia IPs.
• Performance profiling experience in DirectX/Vulkan games is preferred

Level of Responsibility:

• Works independently with minimal supervision.
• Decision-making may affect work beyond immediate work group.
• Requires verbal and written communication skills to convey information. May require basic negotiation, influence, tact, etc.
• Tasks do not have defined steps; planning, problem-solving, and prioritization must occur to complete the tasks effectively

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
