Job summary

Textron India Private Limited in Bengaluru is seeking a Sr. IT Analyst (SAP HANA Developer) with 5–7 years of experience to design and develop ABAP-based solutions on S4 HANA. You will work across global teams, handling OData, CDS views, and Fiori configurations while ensuring security and performance.

The role requires coordinating with BASIS and Functional teams, delivering technical specs, and supporting upgrades and OSS Notes. Strong communication and mentoring skills are valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field required.
• 5–7 years of experience in SAP IT environments.
• SAP, ERP and ABAP knowledge essential.

Responsibilities

• Develop and review ABAP programs including OOPs, BAPI, BADI, and IDocs.
• Work on S4 HANA, CDS Views, AMDP, SQL Script, and RESTful APIs.
• Support Fiori configuration, catalogues, and user authorizations.
• Coordinate with BASIS, Security and Functional teams globally.
• Prepare Technical Specifications and Unit Test documents.
• Perform bug fixes and tune performance of existing programs.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Sr. IT Analyst is expected to join the TSV IT SAP team will be responsible for developing/designing/reviewing ABAP programs (ABAP OOPS, OData, RFC Function Modules, Data dictionary object, BADI, BAPI, User-Exits, Smart forms, SAP Scripts, Adobe Forms, Enhancements, Interfaces, Reports IDocs,Workflow), Working experience on S4 HANA systems, CDS Views with annotations, AMDP, SQL Script, ABAP7.4 syntaxes, RESTful APIs, Fiori configuration, activation, authorization, creation of catalogues and groups, extending and troubleshooting and administration of Fiori apps. bug fixing and enhancing existing programs, preparing Technical Specifications (based on the Functional Specifications) and Unit Test Documents. Needs to coordinate with all the stakeholders (Basis, Security, Functional) teams across the globe to get the requirements fulfilled, participate in architecture, implementation, design, administration, maintenance, documentation.SAP UI5 is added advantage.

Responsibilities:

• Developing programs (ABAP OOPS, RFC Function Modules, Data dictionary object, BADI, BAPI, User-Exits, Smart forms, SAP Scripts, ALV Report, Classical Reports, IDocs)
• Working experience on S4 HANA systems, CDS Views with annotations, AMDP, SQL Script, ABAP7.4 syntaxes, RESTful APIs.
• Experience in OData gateway project development, extending standard OData services and CDS views.
• Good experience in Fiori configuration, activation, authorization, creation of catalogues and groups, extending and troubleshooting and administration of Fiori apps.
• Good experience in using ADT tools like eclipse, HANA studio.
• Bug fixing and enhancing existing programs
• Preparing Technical Specifications (based on the Functional Specifications) and Unit Test Documents
• Implementation of OSS Notes
• SAPUI5 Experience is added advantage
• Performance Tuning of existing programs
• Analysis and resolution of system short dumps
• Knowledge of System Upgrades (SPAU, SPDD, etc)
• Work with BASIS, Security and Functional personnel to develop custom requirements and troubleshooting.
• Monitor SAP releases, enhancements, new functionality, and perform application research.
• Participate in release upgrades or new functionality and enhancement assessments and make recommendations to improve current systems and resolve ticketing issues when necessary.
• Perform break and fix analyses and recommend solutions for related processes.

Soft Skills:
