SECTION II: ROLE SUMMARY (Purpose of the Role)
To support HVAC design and documentation activities ensuring system performance and coordination across services.
SECTION III: KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Data Centre specific HVAC System design in compliance with UPTIME/ TIA / ASHRAE TC 9.9 requirements.
- Prepares heat load calculations, Chilled Water schemes and duct layout preparation.
- Pump head calculation and External Static Pressure calculation.
- Prepare design drawings and BOQs as per project standards.
- Work with BIM and architectural teams to resolve layout clashes.

- Primarily working as per HVAC Lead Engineer instructions
- BIM/ Drafting team inputs and drive for the drawing deliverable

KNOWLEDGE
Minimum Qualifications
- B.E./B.Tech. (Mechanical) with 3-6 years' experience in HVAC design.
Language Skills
- Proficient in English and local language for on-site coordination

SECTION VI: TECHNICAL & LEADERSHIP / BEHAVIORAL SKILLS REQUIRED TO EXECUTE THE ROLE
Skills
Technical Skills
- Perform as HVAC Systems Designer, Expertise with the Design of IT Parks, Tall Buildings, DataCentre, Hospitals & Commercial Buildings design" based on Globally / Nationally accepted Codes and Standards.
- Should have worked on Heat Load calculation through HAP Software & Strong knowledge on Manual Heat load calculation & fundamentals of Psychometrics.
- Should have in depth knowledge of Chilled water system (Air cooled and Water-cooled system), VRF System, DX System, Precision AHU system, Thermal Energy storage system, Basement Ventilation System etc.,
- Determines the size of water and chilled water piping, preparation of piping layout and perform pump head calculations for the chilled water piping.
- Establish Systems for Bill of Materials / Quantity Take Off for Tender projects.
- Perform all MEP design activities and coordinate with Architect, Structure, ELV systems, Public Heath, Piping, Fire Fighting and HVAC Engineering to ensure quality compliance in accordance with client & owner expectations in most economical manner.
- Responsible for review and check the vendor drawings & technical datasheet for various equipment's like Chiller, Pumps, Cooling Towers etc., and further low side items like Piping, ducting, Air distribution products etc., and Subcontractor shop drawings.
