Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. is seeking a Sr. Gas Engineer (Facilities Operations) to oversee safe, reliable, and efficient operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of facility gas systems supporting manufacturing.

The role emphasizes gas generation, storage, distribution, and compliance with safety procedures. You will monitor LN₂, N₂, CO₂, and other gas systems, perform preventive and corrective maintenance, and support expansion of gas infrastructure while ensuring uninterrupted supply

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Chemical, Instrumentation, or related engineering discipline.
• Experience with industrial gas operations and facility utilities is preferred.
• Knowledge of gas distribution, cryogenic storage, and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, and maintain facility gas generation, storage, and distribution systems.
• Manage LN₂, N₂, CO₂, O₂, CDA, Argon, Hydrogen, Helium, and other gas systems.
• Ensure uninterrupted gas supply to production and facility operations.
• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance of gas systems.
• Monitor gas purity, pressure, flow, and consumption.
• Troubleshoot gas system alarms, leaks, and operational issues.
• Support commissioning, qualification, and expansion of gas infrastructure.
• Ensure compliance with EHS, LOTO, PTW, and hazardous gas handling requirements.
• Maintain operational records, SOPs, calibration, and maintenance documentation.

Sr. Gas Engineer (Facilities Operations) Position: Gas Engineer – Facilities Operations

Purpose

Responsible for the safe, reliable, and efficient operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of facility gas systems supporting manufacturing and utility operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, and maintain facility gas generation, storage, and distribution systems.
• Manage LN₂ (Liquid Nitrogen), N₂ (Nitrogen), CO₂ (Carbon Dioxide), O₂ (Oxygen), CDA (Clean Dry Air), Argon, Hydrogen, Helium, and other specialty gas systems.
• Ensure uninterrupted gas supply to production and facility operations.
• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance of gas systems.
• Monitor gas purity, pressure, flow, and consumption.
• Troubleshoot gas system alarms, leaks, and operational issues.
• Support commissioning, qualification, and expansion of gas infrastructure.
• Ensure compliance with EHS, LOTO, PTW, and hazardous gas handling requirements.
• Maintain operational records, SOPs, calibration, and maintenance documentation.
• Person should have proficiency in using Gen AI Tools, Copilot, Copilot library & Agent bots.
