Job summary

Staples India Business Innovation Hub Private Limited in Chennai is seeking a software engineer to design, develop, and maintain automation and SEO infrastructure, focusing on resilient Java-based applications.

You will analyze requirements, write clean automation code, participate in code reviews, troubleshoot defects, and document features while exploring performance strategies and testing. A strong grasp of cloud platforms and CI/CD is desirable.

Qualifications

• 4+ years hands-on Java development experience in software engineering.
• Expertise in test automation frameworks (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright).
• Experience with API testing tools (Postman, REST Assured).
• 4+ years of progressively complex software engineering experience.
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, GCP, AWS).
• Familiarity with RESTful API design and development (Postman/Swagger).

Basic Qualifications:

• 4+ years of progressively complex experience in software engineering or related fields.


• Experience working with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, GCP, AWS), including deployment and application management.


• Familiarity with RESTful API design and development, using tools like Postman or Swagger.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker, AKS.


• Knowledge of performance testing tools (JMeter, k6, Locust)


• Understanding of SEO quality metrics and relevance evaluation


• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and test automation integration (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI)


• Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack).


• Understanding of security best practices in software development, including securing APIs, data encryption, and vulnerability assessments.
