Job summary

Staples India Business Innovation Hub Private Limited in Chennai invites a talented Full Stack Developer to translate business requirements into well‑designed and documented Java (Spring Boot) backends with Angular and/or React frontends.

You will collaborate with business and technology teams to build scalable microservices, expose RESTful APIs, and ensure performance and reliability through Agile practices, Jira, Jenkins, and Bit Bucket.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years hands-on full stack development experience.
• Strong Java (Spring Boot) backend and Angular/React frontend skills.
• Experience with microservices, RESTful APIs, and databases (SQL).
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum, Jira, Jenkins, and Bit Bucket.
• Good debugging, communication, and collaboration abilities.

Translate business requirements into well-designed and documented software components for Java (Sprint Boot) application with Angular and/or React Frontend

Collaborate with other Business and Technology units to develop innovative solutions that meet business needs with respect to functionality, performance, scalability, reliability.

Identify project risks and work effectively to mitigate them

Support function rollouts and be available to resolve postproduction issues

Requirements

Basic Qualifications

2 – 5 years hands-on experience as a Full Stack developer

2 – 5 years hands-on experience with Java (Spring Boot) applications

Development experience within a microservices architecture

Solid Frontend development experience using Angular and/or React

Building and consuming RESTful APIs

Working knowledge with SQL and Relational databases (Oracle, Postgres)

Strong debugging and problem-solving skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Experience working within teams and collaboration with business teams on requirements

Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and use of tools such as Jira, Jenkins, Bit Bucket.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in Test Driven Development

Prior work experience in an agile environment

Aware of and able to apply continuous integration (CI)

Has the ability tobreak down problems and estimate time for development tasks

Understands the technology landscape, up to date on current technology trends and new technology, brings new ideas to the team

Learns organization vision statement and decision-making framework. Able to understand how team and personal goals/objectives contribute to theorganization vision
