About the Role
This role supports the Technology Finance function and reports to the Director of Technology Finance. It is responsible for financial operations and reporting, project cost accounting, financial planning and analysis, and process improvement across the Technology organization.
The position partners with technology and business stakeholders to manage budgets, forecasts, variance analysis, and project-related financial activity. It also supports accurate transaction processing, spend tracking, and the identification of cost optimization opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Review accounting transactions, contracts, purchase orders, and invoices for accuracy and completeness, and resolve issues as needed.
- Forecast and track prepaid spending, including maintenance of amortization schedules.
- Prepare and analyze monthly and quarterly financial results for both expenses and capital.
- Monitor corporate and regional Technology spend across budget, actuals, forecasts, and variances.
- Review project costs and transactions for accuracy and completeness.
- Review project contracts, purchase orders, and invoices, and resolve issues as needed.
- Prepare reporting on project costs and Technology investments.
- Lead budgeting and forecasting cycles for Technology.
- Train Technology and business users on budgeting and forecasting templates.
- Provide year-over-year variance analysis in partnership with Technology.
- Review end-to-end processes to identify inefficiencies and improvement opportunities.
- Assess current processes against industry best practices.
- Recommend process improvements and support implementation, training, and post-implementation activities.
- Identify cost optimization opportunities and help drive delivery of those initiatives.
Required Skills
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- Background in finance, accounting, operations, or a related business discipline.
- Experience in project cost accounting and decision analysis.
- Experience in Technology Finance.
- Strong financial, analytical, and business problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with the MS Office suite.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical ability.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to adapt to change, work independently, handle time constraints, and manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Skills
- CA, CMA, CGA, or CPA designation.
- Exposure to SAP.

FinOps Responsibilities
- Support budgeting and forecasting for Technology spend.
- Track Technology spend across budget, actuals, forecasts, and variances.
- Prepare reporting on project costs and Technology investments.
- Forecast prepaid spending and maintain amortization schedules.
- Identify and drive cost optimization opportunities.
- Improve financial processes to increase efficiency and control.
