Job summary

Amazon Inc. is seeking an experienced Licenses & Permits Executive - Real Estate to support L&P activities across India. The role will be based in Mumbai with regular Pan-India travel and reports to the Manager Licenses & Permits in Gurugram.

You will help obtain and renew required licenses, coordinate with legal and procurement teams, ensure regulatory compliance, and manage vendor agreements for new facilities and existing operations.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience with licenses and permits processes is preferred.
• Knowledge of Indian and state building codes and regulations.
• Strong organizational and documentation skills.
• Ability to travel Pan-India as required.

Responsibilities

• Support obtaining and renewals of building Licenses and Permits for Amazon India facilities.
• Coordinate with legal, facilities, and procurement teams to secure licenses for new openings.
• Monitor regulatory compliance across regions and assist in resolving non-compliance.
• Prepare MSAs with vendors and renew existing licenses.
• Maintain records and assist in preparing permits for new facilities.

Amazon is currently looking to hire an experienced Licenses & Permits Executive - Real Estate to join the team and play a critical role in supporting all L&P activities across Amazon's India Network . This role will be based in Mumbai. Regular Pan- India travel will be required and this role reports to the Manager Licenses & Permits in Gurugram.

In this role you will support the India team in getting all Licenses & Permits which are required for Business as Usual including renewals of same. This encompasses the entire process from working with the local management team in defining the requirements. Your primary objective in this role is to procure requisite Licenses & Permits required for operating existing as well as opening new facility in line with company policy & compliance.

Key Tasks/Responsibilities

• Support the India team for obtaining & renewals of building Licenses & Permits for Amazon India Warehouse/facilities.
• Obtaining of requisite Licenses and Permits required for operating existing as well as for opening new business facilities.
• Monitoring legal compliance's in the Company’s regions of work in International domain and providing support in resolution of non-compliance's
• Work Hand in Hand with Legal,Launch,Facility & WHS Team for getting all business licenses for new facilities.
• Work closely with facility & procurement team in renewing the existing licenses & preparing MSA's for Vendors.

Basic Qualifications

• 2+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon experience
• Knowledge of Indian as well as state building codes and regulations including Fire Codes, Building Codes, Energy Efficiency Codes, Sanitary Codes and Safety Codes

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree, or Six Sigma Black Belt certification
• Experience working with Material Handling Equipment (MHE) integrators
• Experience maintaining material handling equipment and integrated systems
• Experience in project management
• Experience with statistical analysis
