Job summary

Diageo India is seeking a professional for flavour management and blending roles at its Kamrup site. The position involves re-engineering blends, formulating revised recipes, and coordinating with SAP to manage BOMs, material codes and stock movements.

The role requires 2–5 years in distillery/blending, a B.Sc./M.Sc. in Alcohol Technology or Wine Brewing, and strong IT and data skills to support cost calculations and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Blending skills and sensory evaluation expertise.

• Experience in blending and distillery environments.
• Knowledge of SAP systems and material codes.

Responsibilities

• Blending re‑engineering and changes as per requirements, related to BLIMP.
• Prepare revised formulations & approval.
• Implement methods for liquidation of old & non-moving stocks.
• Work out ENA component & Blend cost and approval of e-start-ups for commercialisation.
• Provide details of start-up requirements to BCC.
• Coordinate with PnC & Sourcing on blend cost workings.
• Coordinate with SAP & approve new material codes creation, extension of material to new units, Blend BOM creation & approvals, Blend & SKU codes creation, verification and approvals of Blend BOM's in new units.
• Approve revised blend BOM's for use & liquidation of old & non moving stocks.
• Stock-taking of Special Spirits through SAP-reduce manual compilation.
• Drive digitisation of Blending formulae and access creation for authorised blending i/c's.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE-

The role is responsible for food flavour management & re-engineering with the objective of controlling flavour movements & extending shelf life with a basic deliverance of catering uniform quality blends for packing operation in a non-disruptive manner.

Typical Role Requirements

Qualification: B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Alcohol Technology, Wine Brewing

Experience: Minimum 2-5 years in Distillery/blending

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

1 Blending

• Blend re-engineering and changes as per requirements, related to BLIMP
