Job summary

Dewan P N Chopra & Co is seeking an experienced audit professional to lead statutory and tax audits, review financial statements, and plan audit engagements. You will engage with senior client management, draft audit reports, and supervise teams to ensure timely, compliant delivery.

Ideal candidates have articleship experience with mid to large corporates, strong IND AS knowledge, and familiarity with audit under Companies Act and related tax laws.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Job description

Key Responsibility Areas (KRAs):

• Understanding and acquiring in-depth knowledge of a clients business and system of accounting; analysis & review of financial statements.
• Responsible for execution of Statutory Audits and give key inputs.
• Involved in carrying out Statutory audit / Limited Reviews/ Tax Audit.
• Planning the audit, preparation of the audit programme, and ensuring compliance with audit methods and reporting as per statutory obligations;
• Drafting and presentation of auditors report and review of significant accounting policies and notes to accounts.
• Interacting with Promoters / Senior Management of allocated client groups for ensuring management & successful execution of assignments.
• Managing & supervising the allocated team to ensure efficient utilisation of resources for completion of transactions.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• At least having experience in execution of statutory & tax audits of mid to large corporate clients in various industry sectors during articleship;
• Mandatory working experience of IND AS for Listed or Non-Listed Clients;
• Proficiency in handling a wide spectrum of activities encompassing finalization of accounts, reviewing internal systems & procedures and extending remedial actions / suggestion for improvement of the same;
• Well versed with modern accounting systems, procedures & provisions of Companies Act, Income Tax Act,
• Knowledge about labour laws and other laws applicable in manufacturing and trading industry
• Having knowledge of IFRS /US GAAP
• GST and other Laws relating to Corporate Audits;
• A track record of academic excellence.
• In depth experience in Audit of large clients from diversified industries built whilst working at reputed Chartered Accountancy Firms in India;
• Proven supervisory & leadership skills & experience in managing a reasonably sized team.
