Job summary

BharatGen is seeking a senior accounting professional in Mumbai to manage comprehensive accounting functions including payables, receivables, GL, and GST. The role demands strong knowledge of taxation, audits, and compliance with government financial rules.

Candidates should have an accounting degree or CA inter and 8–10 years of proven experience, with proficiency in MS Office and Tally. The position is office-based in Mumbai with a focus on accuracy and leadership.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of MS Office and accounting software
• Proven knowledge of book-keeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations
• Knowledge of Government rules in financial procedures, accounting, auditing and administrative matters
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to direct, coordinate and supervise
• Experience in tendering, audits, taxation and financial compliances

Responsibilities

• Manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, Income tax and GST related matters

• Organising and maintaining financial records and documentation which may include (but not limited to) filing, report generation, budget preparation etc.
• Help with financial and statutory compliances audit etc.
• Responsible for processing bills and payments, taxation at source and other Income Tax and GST related matters
• Coordination, preparation and submission of returns and taking care of all compliances, as necessary
