Larsen & Toubro Limited is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to plan, design, and oversee electrical systems across substations, distribution boards, and infrastructure. You will lead a multi-disciplinary team, ensure compliance with IEC/IEEE/NEC and client specs, and drive cost-efficient, safe, and high-performance electrical solutions.

Responsabilités

• Plan, execute, and oversee electrical engineering design within budget, schedule, and scope.
• Coordinate with project stakeholders to ensure seamless execution.
• Review and approve electrical design drawings, layouts, and specifications.
• Ensure adherence to IEC, IEEE, NEC, BS, AS/NZS standards and client requirements.
• Optimize system layouts to minimize cost and enhance performance.
• Perform load analysis, short-circuit studies, and protection coordination with multi-disciplinary teams.
• Identify and resolve design-phase issues or field support during construction and operations.
• Review and approve material specifications and take-off sheets.
• Review electrical installations for substations, distribution boards, and infrastructure.
• Lead and mentor a team of electrical engineers and designers.
• Foster cross-team collaboration across disciplines.
• Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and environmental standards.
• Conduct internal audits to ensure quality and safety.
• Participate in vendor inspections and FAT as needed.
• Support ITPs/QAP to ensure compliance with codes and client requirements.
• Oversee material selection during vendor engineering.
• Select appropriate electrical materials based on system requirements.
• Review and approve component datasheets for electrical equipment.
• Support procurement in evaluating vendor proposals.
• Evaluate supplier and contractor proposals and schedule adherence.
• Review project progress and maintain documentation for compliance.

Job Description

• Plan, execute, and oversee Electrical engineering design within budget, schedule, and scope.
• Coordinate with project stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure seamless execution.
• Review and approve electrical design drawings, layouts, and specifications, ensuring alignment with project requirements and client expectations.
• Ensure adherence to industry standards, codes, and client requirements (e.g., IEC, IEEE, NEC, BS, AS/NZS).
• Optimize electrical system layouts and routes to minimize cost, enhance performance, and reduce environmental impact.
• Perform electrical load analysis, short-circuit studies, and protection coordination, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to optimize system designs for safety, performance, and cost efficiency.
• Identify and resolve potential electrical system issues during the design phase or through field support during construction and operations.
• Review and approve electrical material specifications, equipment specifications, and material take-off sheets.
• Review and approve the design of electrical installations for substations, distribution boards, and other electrical infrastructure according to project specifications and operational requirements.
• Lead and mentor a team of Electrical engineers, designers, and technical support staff, providing guidance.
• Foster collaboration across multi-disciplinary teams, ensuring seamless communication and coordination between electrical engineering, design, construction, and other departments.
• Ensure all electrical systems meet quality, safety, and environmental standards, aligning with project specifications and industry regulations.
• Conduct regular internal audits to identify potential issues and ensure all electrical designs and installations conform to quality and safety standards.
• If required, participate in vendor inspections, including factory acceptance tests (FAT), witness testing and quality checks to validate electrical equipment and system performance.
• Support in review inspection and test plans (ITPs/QAP) to ensure adherence to project and industry standards, ensuring compliance with applicable codes and client requirements.
• Oversee material selection during vendor engineering for electrical components, ensuring all materials meet project requirements and industry standards.
• Select appropriate electrical materials based on system requirements, operating conditions (voltage, current, load), and project specifications.
• Review and approve electrical component datasheets for transformers, circuit breakers, cables, switches, protective relays, and other electrical equipment.
• Support procurement teams in evaluating vendor proposals for electrical equipment and systems, ensuring compliance with technical specifications and performance criteria.
• Evaluate and approve supplier and contractor proposals and schedule adherence to ensure optimal selection of electrical systems and components.
• Review project progress, technical documents, and presentations to ensure effective communication and updates to stakeholders.
• Support the project team in maintaining accurate records of electrical designs, material certifications, test reports, and inspection documentation for compliance and traceability.
• Drive innovation in electrical design and installation techniques, incorporating new technologies and best practices to enhance system efficiency and performance.
• Stay updated with the latest technologies, industry trends and regulatory changes to continuously improve design methodologies.
