Job summary

Honeywell Technologies seeks a highly technical SRE Leader to bridge software engineering and operations. You will lead a high‑performing team to design, build, and maintain fault‑tolerant, scalable, and highly available distributed systems.

You will champion SRE best practices, reduce manual operations (toil) via automation, and partner with product development squads to embed reliability into the software delivery lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience.
• Engineering Background: Strong proficiency in programming or scripting languages such as PowerShell or Python.
• Cloud & Infrastructure: Hands-on expertise with major cloud platforms (Azure, GCP, or AWS).
• Container Orchestration: Deep experience managing containerized workloads at scale using Kubernetes.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Proficiency with Terraform or similar orchestration tools.
• Monitoring Tooling: Familiarity with observability stacks (e.g., Dynatrace, Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog).
• Soft Skills: Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and cross-functional leadership skills

Responsibilities

• Spearhead capacity planning, performance tuning, and chaos engineering experiments.
• Build internal developer tooling to accelerate time-to-market while controlling operational risk.
• Team Leadership & Mentorship: Mentor SRE staff and foster an inclusive engineering culture.
• Collaborate with Product, Security, and Core Engineering teams to align operational goals.
