Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. in Ahmedabad/Sanand, Gujarat, invites a Mechanical Engineer to lead water systems operations. You will optimize WTP/WWTP/ETP/ZLD assets, monitor performance, and drive energy efficiency while ensuring regulatory compliance.

Collaborate across functions for reliability and continuous improvement. You will also participate in commissioning, FAT/SAT tests, and preventive maintenance planning for pumps, piping, filtration units, membranes and evaporators.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering; 7–12 years in industrial water utility systems.
• Hands-on experience with WTP/WWTP/ETP/ZLD systems, UF/RO membranes, evaporators and crystallizers.
• Ability to read PFDs, P&IDs and equipment datasheets; strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize WTP, WWTP, STP, and ZLD facilities.
• Monitor plant performance; drive process optimization, energy efficiency, and water conservation.
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and discharge norms.
• Conduct FAT/SAT, equipment inspections, commissioning activities.
• Develop preventive and predictive maintenance for pumps, piping, filtration units, membranes and related equipment.
• Perform RCA for equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
• Support capacity expansion, debottlenecking and continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in Water Treatment Plants (WTP), Wastewater Treatment Plants (WWTP), Sewage Treatment Plants (STP), Ultra-Pure Water (UPW) systems (preferred), and Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) processes.
