Job summary

Cyient Limited in Mumbai seeks a process engineer to lead process design, simulations, and optimization. The role involves hydraulic calculations, developing PFDs/heat balances, and coordinating with vendors for equipment sizing and performance.

You will support multi-discipline teams, ensure adherence to specs, and contribute to safe, efficient plant operations through data provision and design collaboration.

Qualifications

• Experience in process design, simulations and optimization.
• Ability to perform hydraulic calculations for piping systems.
• Develop and interpret PFDs, heat and material balances, and piping and instrumentation diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Organize process data for other disciplines (design, mechanical, instrumentation).
• Prepare specifications and operating instructions for process equipment/systems.
• Communicate with vendors on sizing, operation and performance of equipment; obtain quotes as required.
• Participate in HAZOP reviews and ensure proper sequencing of operation during schedule creation/reviews.

Job description

Process design and & detail engineering including performing process simulations, design calculation, process optimization, sizing and selection of equipment etc.
Perform hydraulic calculations for piping systems
Develop process flow diagrams, heat and material balances, and piping and instrumentation diagrams.
Organize and provide process data to other disciplines, namely design, mechanical and instrumentation for evaluation of equipment/instrument operating parameters and sizing of equipment/instruments
Prepare specifications and operating instructions for process equipment/systems
Communicate with vendors on sizing, operation, and performance of equipment, includes obtaining quotes for new equipment as required
HAZOP participation
Ensure proper sequence of operation during schedule creation/reviews/updates
Maintain effective communication with multidiscipline project team members including client team members
Ensure adherence to company and client specifications and governing codes and standards
