Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. is seeking an experienced SR Oracle DBA to manage Oracle Database 19c in production across Hyderabad, with exposure to Oracle 26ai.

You will handle installations, upgrades, clustering, patching, and disaster recovery, while driving automation to improve reliability and efficiency. The role requires deep expertise in RAC architectures, performance tuning, and backup/recovery strategies, along with scripting skills for automation.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Administer Oracle Database 19c in production and non-production environments.

• Manage RAC clusters (2- to 5-node) and Grid Infrastructure components.
• Troubleshoot Oracle Clusterware, OCR, ASM, SCAN listeners, and related services.
• Implement backup/restore strategies using RMAN; validate and test restores.
• Tune performance (SQL, AWR/ASH/ADDM), diagnose bottlenecks, and optimize resources.
• Automate DBA tasks using Shell, Python, Ansible, or similar tools.
• Lead DR readiness activities (Data Guard, DGSwitchover/Failover) and DR drills.
