Job summary

Qualcomm India Private Limited is seeking a Software Engineer to design, develop, modify and validate embedded and cloud edge software.

You will collaborate with systems, hardware, architecture, and test engineers to deliver system-level software solutions and meet performance requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field with 2+ years of Software Engineering experience.
• Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field with 1+ year of Software Engineering experience.
• PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Software Build Integration and verification.
• Operate JTAG and debugging tools for hardware validation in a lab environment.
• Coordinate the integration and release process with cross functional teams.

Qualcomm Software Engineers collaborate with systems, hardware, architecture, test engineers, and other teams to design system-level software solutions and obtain information on performance requirements and interfaces.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.

OR

Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Software Engineering or related work experience.

OR

PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.

Qualification and Experience:

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree with 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in Real Time Embedded Software Development and System SW Integration.
• Experience in Configuration management and Release Management.
• Good experience in version control tools like Git/P4/Clearcase, etc and Bug tracking systems(ex JIRA) or project management tools.
• Ability to troubleshoot run time/build problems and resolution
• Strong C programming and debugging skills, scripting knowledge, OS concepts
• Multi-threading and multitasking experience
• Ability to coordination with cross functional teams for build plan.

Role and Responsibility:

• Responsible for Software Build Integration and verification.
• Responsible for operating JTAG and other debugging tools, conducting basic validation and debugging activities on physical hardware, and working effectively in a lab environment.
• Work with cross functional teams and coordinate the integration and release process
• Troubleshoot run time, build problems, and report findings
• Ensure software builds run properly on automation.

Skills:

• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
• Passionate about the Build and Integration and software automation
• Knowledge in managing source control systems, software versioning, P4/Git branching strategies and integrations on multiple projects and repositories.
• Excellent communicative, interpersonal and leadership skills with ability to work efficiently in both independent and team work environments.
