Job summary

NewSpace Research and Technologies based in Bengaluru is looking for a candidate with expertise in Robotics and Augmented Reality. The ideal candidate should have 3+ years of experience and a Bachelor's Degree in Robotics or Mechatronics Engineering. Responsibilities include real-time path planning, hardware/software simulations, and software documentation. Candidates with advanced degrees or knowledge of SLAM will have an advantage. Qualifications

• 3+ years of relevant experience in Robotics/Augmented Reality.

Job description

We are a start-up based out of Bengaluru & Delhi NCR. We are engaged in development of next generation missions and technologies (NGM&T) towards future warfare needs of the Indian defence forces. It is undertaking research towards enhancing persistence and autonomy for unmanned vehicles and robotic swarms. NRT’s product development portfolio includes a solar power stratospheric high altitude pseudo satellite (HAPS) unmanned platform and an air/ground launched stand-off autonomous system.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Working and hands-on experience with 3D online realtime path planning, obstacle avoidance , Visual Inertial SLAM , EKF/UKF/Optical flow based state estimation and robot localization for UAV/mobile robots.
• Perform hardware-in-the-loop & software-in-the-loop simulations for end application.
• Ability to bring product from simulation to real world execution with identification of risks/ limitations.
• Responsibility for documentation and verification of software stability in the long run.

Must have skills:

• Good working experience in Robotics / Augmented Reality domain.
• 3+ years of relevant experience
• Experience of coding in object oriented language like CPP, C#, Python (Knowledge of Java would be a plus)
• Good knowledge of deploying software on hardware platform like Snapdragon, Nvidia Jetson, Nano etc.
• Strong coordination and management skills, ability to motivate others.
• Should have worked on Linux/Android platform for software development.
• Experience of hardware design/ PCB design from grounds up would be a plus.

Desired Skills:

• Should have worked on SLAM / V-SLAM
• EKF/UKF based localization
• Introductory knowledge of CV-ML algorithms
• Should have worked with 3D cameras integration on Linux / Android platforms.

Educational requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree (Robotics/Mechatronics) in Engineering.
