Job summary

Globallogic in Bengaluru seeks a senior embedded software engineer with 7+ years in automotive embedded systems. You will advance SoC platform foundation software, spanning BSPs, drivers, and critical interfaces across PCIe, CAN, Ethernet, and USB.

The role requires strong C/C++, knowledge of MISRA/ISO26262, hypervisors, and experience with CI/CD in an automotive context. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of embedded software experience with 4+ years in SoC platform development.
• Strong C/C++ development for automotive embedded systems.
• Experience with SoC architectures and communication protocols.
• Familiar with MISRA/ISO26262 and cybersecurity practices.

Responsibilities

• Strong experience in C/C++ development for automotive embedded systems and SoC platform foundation software.
• Technical exposure to SoC architectures: Qualcomm SA8xxx, Renesas RCAR, Nvidia Orin, TI.
• Hands-on with PCIe, SPI, UART, XCP, CAN, Ethernet, USB interfaces.
• Memory management using UFS, DDR, Flash ROM, MMU.
• Experience with POSIX OS, QNX, RTOS, hypervisor and container engines.
• Awareness of CI/CD processes and best practices.
• Knowledge of OS internals, multi-threading, IPC, and memory management techniques.
• BSP porting and device driver internals.

Description

Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or Electronics Engineering

Experience: 7+ years of experience with a minimum of 4 years of SoC platform (BSP, POSIX, Adaptive Platform, SoC Drivers...etc.) development experience and 3+ years of experience in automotive, AD/ADAS, or other embedded system low-level domains.

Requirements

• Strong experience in C/C++ development for automotive embedded systems, with the ability to develop automotive SoC platform foundation software.
• Technical experience with:
• SoC Architecture: Qualcomm SA8xxx, Renesas RCAR, Nvidia Orin, TI.
• Communication Protocols: PCIe, SPI, UART, XCP, CAN, Ethernet, USB.
• Memory Management: UFS, DDR, Flash ROM, MMU.
• SoC related: Inter Core Communication, Tensor Processing, Servers, Accelerators, POSIX OS, QNX, RTOS, middleware, hypervisor and container engines.
• Good experience of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery.
• Strong Understanding of CPU/GPU architectures, data structures, OS internals, multi-threading, inter-process communications, memory management techniques.
• Extensive hands-on experience in BSP porting and device driver internals.
• Nice to have NVIDIA Drive OS experience and Hypervisor virtual platforms
• V-Model, ASPICE, MISRA, ISO26262, Cybersecurity and Agile framework.
• Familiar with crypto algorithms, and cryptographic authentication method.
• Ability to read schematics, electrical block diagrams, and IC datasheets.
