Job summary

Optiv Security India Private Limited is seeking a Senior Engineer - Endpoint (EDR) to lead post-sales security implementations and ensure high-value outcomes for customers. You will partner with the Customer security team to monitor policies, perform health checks, and advise on governance controls.

The ideal candidate has 5-8 years of experience with CrowdStrike and M365 Defender, a BSc in Computer Science or related field, and strong communication, writing, and stakeholder-management skills.

• A Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or related field is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide post-sales implementation and project delivery ensuring customer service standards.
• Perform regular synchronization, monitoring, and health checks.
• Recommend changes to global policies to the Customer security team.
• Analyze configurations, policies, and performance data and provide recommendations.
• Manage Microsoft Entra ID, Defender Suite, and Purview for security and governance.
• Implement and maintain security, compliance, and governance controls.
• Manage Conditional Access, MFA, and privileged access strategies.
• Lead Power Platform automation including workflows and Power Apps solutions.
• Support 24x5 on-call operations and shift handovers.
• Report and document activities.

Job description

Senior Engineer - Endpoint(EDR) is responsible for post-sales product & service implementation and for completing assigned projects in a manner consistent with the team’s Operational Standard, which emphasizes the importance of providing exceptional customer service. They are also responsible for meeting consulting billing objectives.

How you'll make an impact:

• Working knowledge primarily on M365 (Intune, MFA, Conditional Access Policy, Entra ID) and have understanding of any of these tools such as EDR/XDR (CrowdStrike, MS Defender, Sentinel One, Cortex, Netskope, MCAS) and DLP
• Performing regular checks on synchronization, monitoring and health checks
• Provide recommendations to the Customer security team on changes to global policies.
• Analyze application & Configuration settings, Policies & custom rule sets, historical performance data & provide recommendations.
• Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) - identity and access management.
• Microsoft Defender Suite - Endpoint, Identity, Office 365, Cloud Apps.
• Microsoft Purview - data governance, DLP, retention, and eDiscovery.
• Implement and maintain security, compliance, and governance controls.
• Manage Conditional Access, MFA, and privileged access strategies.
• Power Platform & Automation.
• Lead development and governance of Power Automate workflows and Power Apps solutions.
• Drive adoption of low-code automation across the business.
• Understanding of security by design principles and architecture level security concepts.
• Sound security engineering knowledge (technical) so as to work collaboratively with the Tech Leads and software/products architects to ensure secure Products.
• Good Knowledge on ITIL, Incident Management, Change Management and Problem Management including analysis and response.
• Understand and manage the requirements of being part of a 24x7 on-call operation, including but not limited to, shift hand-over, operational advice, guidance, support and escalation.
• Good knowledge on reporting, documentation etc.

What we're looking for:

• Have 5-8 years of relevant experience, primarily on CrowdStrike & M365 Defender (Intune, MFA, Conditional Access Policy, Entra ID) and have understanding of any of these tools such as EDR/XDR Sentinel One, Cortex, Netskope, MCAS) and DLP
• A Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or related field is required.
