Job Summary:

The Sr Director, IT Operations – India Technology Center is a senior domain leader accountable for the operational governance, delivery excellence, and organizational development of T-Mobile's IT Operations capability at the Hyderabad site. This role leads multiple India-based sub-orgs including Infrastructure (cloud & platform, DB platforms, SRE, CI/CD delivery), Testing COE and Shared Services Technology. Reporting directly to the India Site Leader, this role ensures India-based IT Operations delivery is integrated into global planning, governance, and execution forums.

Main Responsibilities:

• Operational Leadership & Delivery Governance: Lead India-based IT Operations sub-orgs — Global Hub/Conversions/Integration/SRE, Testing HR systems, and Finance Engineering functions. Own end-to-end delivery quality, service reliability, and operational performance across all sub-orgs. Serve as the primary India-side operational leader for these functions, ensuring transparent alignment on priorities, dependencies, and performance metrics with US counterparts.
• US Partnership & Stakeholder Governance: Function as the principal liaison between India-based IT Operations teams and US functional leaders. Participate in global governance forums, operational planning cycles, and delivery reviews. Drive cross-site accountability, resource alignment, and shared ownership of operational outcomes. Ensure India’s contributions are visible, measurable, and integrated into US-led planning and roadmaps.
• Talent Development & Org Scaling: Build and develop high-performing India IT Operations leadership and delivery teams. Directly lead people leaders; oversee the onboarding and integration of planned new hires as the org scales. Create coaching frameworks, development plans, and performance partnerships that strengthen leadership depth and operational capability at every level.
• Operational Excellence & Standards: Implement and evolve operational best practices across IT service management, testing methodologies, SRE principles, and India-side cyber operations. Embed continuous improvement, process excellence, and quality standards into delivery workflows. Define and monitor service level objectives, reliability targets, and quality metrics across all supported functions.

India Site Leadership Partnership: Serve as a key member of the India Technology Center leadership team. Represent the IT Operations domain in site-wide planning, culture, and operational initiatives. Contribute to annual demand planning, capability roadmaps, and T-Mobile’s India growth strategy. Reinforce T-Mobile’s Un-carrier values through inclusive leadership and active participation in site-level culture-building.

Also responsible for other Duties/Projects as assigned by business management as needed.

Bachelor's Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field (Required).

• 12+ years of experience IT Operations, Service Delivery, Infrastructure, Testing, or Enterprise Technology Leadership, with a demonstrated track record of leading large-scale, highly available operational environments (Required).
• 8+ years of people leadership experience, including managing Senior Manager, and executive level leaders across multiple disciplines (Required).
• 5+ years of experience leading multi-site or global IT operations teams, with direct experience managing India based or offshore delivery organizations preferred; experience spanning at least two of the following: IT service management, software testing/QA, site reliability engineering, or cyber operations (Required).

• Exceptional communication skills, credible at the VP and SVP level, experienced operating across US–India time zones.
