Job summary

Novartis India in Hyderabad is seeking a Senior DevSecOps Engineer to embed security, automation, and operational excellence across the software development lifecycle, spanning cloud, AI, and data platforms.

You will collaborate with cloud, engineering, architecture, and cybersecurity teams to modernize delivery pipelines and support secure, auditable environments. This role emphasizes security-first DevSecOps and scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Cybersecurity, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in DevSecOps, Cloud Engineering, Platform Engineering, SRE, or Application Security.
• Strong experience designing and managing enterprise-scale CI/CD pipelines.
• Hands-on expertise implementing security controls including code analysis, dependency scanning, container security, and compliance validation.
• Deep knowledge of cloud platforms, IaC, containerization, Kubernetes, and deployment automation.
• Strong scripting, automation, problem-solving, and stakeholder communication in complex enterprise environments.

• Design and maintain secure, scalable CI/CD pipelines across cloud, application, data, and AI platforms.
• Embed security controls throughout development, testing, deployment, and production operations.
• Integrate code quality, vulnerability scanning, and compliance checks into automated pipelines.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code for consistent, auditable environments.
• Build and support containerized deployments using Kubernetes and cloud-native tech.
• Enable secure cloud architectures across compute, networking, identity, monitoring, and storage services.
• Drive vulnerability management with identification, prioritization, remediation, and risk reduction.
• Implement observability, monitoring, logging, and alerting across apps, infra, and security domains.
• Establish secure release management practices and deployment governance.
• Mentor teams on DevSecOps, cloud security, automation, and secure software delivery.

About The Role

Essential Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in DevSecOps, Cloud Engineering, Platform Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering, or Application Security.
• Strong experience designing and managing enterprise-scale Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery pipelines.
• Hands-on expertise implementing security controls including code analysis, dependency scanning, container security, and compliance validation.
• Deep knowledge of cloud platforms, Infrastructure as Code, containerization, Kubernetes, and deployment automation.
• Strong scripting, automation, problem-solving, and stakeholder communication skills in complex enterprise environments.
