Job summary

HighLevel is seeking a Sr. DevOps Engineer (Developer Productivity) to join our remote-first team in India. You will own build-time reliability, monitor DORA metrics, and drive tooling to boost developer productivity across CI/CD flows.

You will design pipelines with Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes, build internal tools, enhance observability, and collaborate with platform, QA, and engineering teams to reduce friction from code to production.

Qualifications

• 3-4 years in Developer Productivity, DevOps, or Tooling Engineering roles.
• Hands-on experience with Jenkins pipelines (Groovy), GitHub Actions, Argo CD or equivalent systems.
• Groovy for Jenkins; familiarity with Node.js is a plus.
• Containerization: strong experience with Docker, DinD, and Kubernetes.
• Observability: experience tracking and reporting developer productivity metrics like build time, failure rates, and DORA metrics.
• Tooling: hands-on with SonarQube, Jfrog Artifactory/Artifact Registry, and integrating them into CI/CD workflows.
• Scripting: Bash or Python; strong collaboration with developers, QA, and platform teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Harness, Docker-in-Docker (DinD), and Kubernetes.
• Develop internal tools and frameworks to boost developer efficiency using Jenkins Shared Libraries (Groovy), SonarQube, and artifact repositories (Jfrog, Artifact Registry).
• Build infrastructure: optimize build performance, reduce build failure rates, and improve reliability through automation and observability.
• Metrics & Insights: monitor and improve key developer productivity KPIs such as build time, build failure rate, and DORA metrics.
• Developer Experience: bridge between platform and engineering teams to reduce friction in build, test, and deploy workflows.
• Code Quality & Security: integrate quality gates and vulnerability scanning into pipelines using SonarQube and Jfrog Xray (or equivalent).
• Toolchain Ownership: manage and upgrade developer productivity tools in Kubernetes, ensuring scalability, security, and high availability.

About the Role:

We are looking for a Sr. DevOps Engineer (Developer Productivity) - L3 to join our team and help ensure the build time, build success ratio and other DORA metrics of CICD Flow are properly monitored and deployed, for increasing our developer’s productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

• CI/CD Automation: Design, implement, and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Harness, Docker-in-Docker (DinD), and Kubernetes.

• Dev Tooling: Develop internal tools and frameworks to boost developer efficiency using Jenkins Shared Libraries (Groovy), SonarQube, and artifact repositories (Jfrog, Artifact Registry).

• Build Infrastructure: Optimize build performance, reduce build failure rates, and improve reliability through automation and observability.

• Metrics & Insights: Monitor and improve key developer productivity KPIs such as build time, build failure rate, and DORA metrics (deployment frequency, lead time, mean time to recovery, change failure rate).

• Developer Experience: Act as a bridge between platform and engineering teams to reduce friction in build, test, and deploy workflows.

• Code Quality & Security: Integrate quality gates and vulnerability scanning into pipelines using SonarQube and Jfrog Xray (or equivalent).

• Toolchain Ownership: Manage and upgrade developer productivity tools in Kubernetes, ensuring scalability, security, and high availability.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
