We invite passionate individuals to join our team, dedicated to exceeding customer expectations through innovative and sustainable solutions.**Key Responsibilities:*** Execute and review detailed design and Bill of material of centrifugal pumps and related components including sheet metal parts using Creo and Windchill* Perform engineering calculations* Work closely with manufacturing teams to ensure design feasibility* Support product testing and validation activities* Ensure compliance with applicable standards, specifications, and internal design practices* Contribute to continuous improvement, cost optimization, and design standardization initiatives**Must have competencies:*** Experience in pump design / rotating equipment (mandatory)* Proficiency in CAD tools (mandatory) for 3D modelling, assemblies, and detailing* Hands-on experience in fits, tolerance, GD&T and stack-up analysis and ensuring functional performance of mechanical systems* Experience in sheet metal design is advantageous* Strong analytical and mechanical design skills* Knowledge of manufacturing processes* Ability to independently execute design tasks with minimal supervision**Good to have competencies:*** Knowledge of acoustic design and noise attenuation techniques* Exposure to standards such as ISO, ASME, HI etc.* Experience with pump testing and validation* Familiarity with FEA/CFD tools* Ability to Python-based design automation and optimization tools will be an added advantage**Technical Skills:*** Mechanical design of centrifugal pumps* Understanding of prime movers i.e. electric motors and diesel engines* Strong hands-on experience with CAD tools (Creo or equivalent)* Proficiency in MS Excel for engineering calculations and data analysis**Education:*** Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering**Experience:*** 6-9 YearsJoin the global Xylem team to be a part of innovative technology solutions transforming water usage, conservation, and re-use.
