Job summary

Xylem in Vadodara is seeking a Mechanical Engineer with 0–1 year of experience to support design and development of pumps and water technology products. You will create 2D drawings and 3D models, interpret specifications, and maintain engineering documentation in accordance with company standards.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, assist in BOM management, and apply GD&T principles to ensure product quality and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Basic understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as sheet metal, casting, machining, welding, and fabrication.
  • Exposure to 3D CAD software, preferably Creo; knowledge of AutoCAD will be an advantage.
  • Familiarity with BOM creation and engineering documentation.
  • Basic understanding of pumps, valves, motors or industrial equipment is desirable.
  • Exposure to ERP and PLM systems is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Support the design and development of mechanical components, assemblies, and systems used in pumps and water technology products.
  • Prepare and modify 2D drawings and 3D models using Creo and other CAD tools.
  • Create and maintain engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation per standards.
  • Interpret customer specifications and industry standards.
  • Assist in BOM preparation and maintenance within ERP systems.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, sourcing, operations, quality, and global engineering teams to ensure product execution.
