Job summary

S&P Global in Hyderabad is seeking a Financial Data Analyst to standardize and upload financial statements for venture capital portfolio companies using our proprietary tools. You will drive the Private Capital Markets platform adoption across leading firms and ensure accurate extraction of data from legal and financial documents.

Ideal candidates hold an MBA with 2+ years' experience, accounting or finance degrees, strong communication, and attention to detail.

About the Role

Grade Level (for internal use): 08 The Team: You will join a collaborative team dedicated to facilitating the integration of financial data for private capital clients onto S&P Global’s proprietary software platform. The team values accuracy, efficiency, and delivering best‑in‑class solutions to our clients.

Responsibilities and Impact

Standardize and upload financial statements of Venture Capital Portfolio companies using S&P Global’s proprietary tools. Drive successful implementation of the Private Capital Markets platform within market‑leading private capital firms. Analyze financial and legal documents of portfolio companies, extracting economic rights and share amounts from Articles of Incorporation, Cap Tables, Share Purchase Agreements, etc. Handle multiple client engagements simultaneously, ensuring timely and precise delivery. Assist the Manager on various projects as needed. Deliver solutions that consistently exceed client expectations.

What We’re Looking For

Basic Required Qualifications

2+ years’ experience with MBA from a reputed institute. Accounting or finance degrees strongly preferred. Understanding of financial statements, reporting and analysis. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Key Soft Skills

Highest ethical standards and strong work ethic; willing to go the extra mile with a hands on attitude. Ability to work independently, efficiently, and responsibly with extreme attention to detail and ability to document processes. Experience working effectively with others in a team setting under deadline pressure. Positive attitude and willingness to work long hours at critical times (e.g., quarterly reporting).

Additional Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with financial modeling. Experience with Venture capital and/or Private equity companies. Familiarity with Excel formulas. Desire to work for a company where individual contributions have significant impact on team success.
